Drummer TONY LAUREANO To Play With 1349 In Slovenia

July 24, 2007

Drummer Tony Laureano (DIMMU BORGIR, NILE, ANGELCORPSE) has issued the following update:

"I will be at the Metalmania festival in Komen, Slovenia on August 11th with 1349. Frost is unable to play this show with them, and since I will be in Norway at the time, and this show falls nicely between the two shows I am doing with DIMMU BORGIR in August, it wasn't difficult to accept the proposition. More information can be found at www.metalmaniafest.net. Please be aware that even though the site may still say 1349 is playing on the 10th, the date has been changed to Saturday the 11th, and the site should reflect that change soon."

As previously reported, Laureano will play more shows with DIMMU BORGIR this summer/fall following the recent announcement that the band's regular drummer drummer Jan Axel von Blomberg (a.k.a. Hellhammer) has broken his arm. "Aside from the Wacken and Metal Heart festivals in August, I will also be doing their European tour, which runs from September 23rd to November 6th," said Laureano.

Laureano sat behind the kit for DIMMU BORGIR in June at the Graspop Metal Meeting and Hell City festivals in Belgium and Norway, respectively. He previously played with DIMMU BORGIR as a session drummer at Ozzfest 2004 after the group's then-skinsman, Danish drummer Reno Kiilerich (PANZERCHRIST, EXMORTEM, VILE),was unable to obtain a U.S. work visa in time to join the band on the road.
